Local Community Work

In 2025, Human Relief Mission (HRM) Canada successfully implemented a community-engagement project aimed at empowering newly arrived seniors to become active and confident citizens in Canada. From April to Dec 2025, HRM delivered 10 structured training sessions in Ottawa, focusing on civic participation, community integration, accessing public services, and understanding rights and responsibilities in Canada.

More than 30 seniors benefited from the program, including 20+ men and over 10 women, all of whom gained valuable knowledge and practical skills to navigate life in their new environment. The sessions were facilitated by experienced HRM trainers, and participants reported increased confidence, improved community engagement, and a stronger sense of belonging in Canadian society.
